Spring has well and truly arrived, and this month’s wine specials are made for long evenings and the first lunches outdoors. Rose leads the way, with Provence favourites from Chateau Minuty, Chateau Routas and Saint Max sitting alongside Akarua and Rockburn Stolen Kiss from Central Otago. Closer to home, Loveblock’s organic range, Nanny Goat’s single vineyard Pinot Noir and Clearview Estate’s Hawke’s Bay Chardonnays are all worth a place in the fridge or cellar. Further afield, Domaine Bourillon d’Orleans brings a rare run of Vouvray including aged releases, Dagueneau Pur Sang shows Pouilly Fume at its finest, and Zuccardi Q Malbec, Finca Allende Martires and Chateau Meyney 2019 round out the reds.
