8th APRIL 2020 – DELIVERY UPDATE

We very much appreciate your continued custom. Because of the current restrictions we are operating with a much-reduced workforce, and over the last few days we have been swamped with orders, running us low on certain items.

We have now received safely more stock and have increased resources. This week’s capacity greater than last week

Delivery time frames will vary depending on stock ordered. The items on our quick list are available in the largest quantity and can be shipped sooner.

Current delivery time frames: We have made great progress on the orders received prior to the 4th April and are still aiming for these to be sent out for delivery by Easter. Alongside this, we are now starting to prepare orders received from the 4th April and are starting to send these out, currently delivery time frames are from 2 days – 8 ‘working’ days.

These are surreal times; we’re all of us navigating our way through uncharted territory. Like everyone endeavouring to supply you with goods, we’re having to come up with new ways of working. Not everything has been straightforward. Our prime agenda remains the safety and security of all our people who are working so hard to process your orders. Consequently we’ve spent whatever time it takes to make sure both our team and our systems are robustly protected, meaning of course that so are you. Our new processes are picking up speed as we manage to clear the significant backlog of orders created while uncertainty reigned around who could do what and how they could do it, and every day we become more streamlined as our new systems bed in. Our delivery partners have been nothing short of amazing. We ask you all for your understanding as we work to get your orders to you in the quickest time possible.

COVID-19 CHANGES TO OUR DELIVERY PROCEDURES

With everyone’s safety in mind, we have instigated new procedures for our deliveries. When delivering your order, we’ll knock first, step back two metres from the door (or whatever distance is safe) and wait for you to answer. At that point we’ll ask for your name to confirm the order. Social distancing is the strategy behind this procedure. Your tracking link will update with delivery confirmation

COVID-19 DIRECT DELIVERY

We’d like to remind you that we have a very efficient system for delivering direct to your door. Place your remote order with us whichever way you like: online, over the phone, via text, by email or LiveChat – the choice is all yours. We’ll then deliver your order to you speedily and safely.

DELIVERY SERVICES

Glengarry have partnered with NZ Post to bring you a whole new world of delivery possibilities. Getting your purchase to you in a timely manner, in one piece and at an affordable price is something we have long striven to perfect, and this is our latest step on that road. Along the way, we pride ourselves on having the cheapest rates going, and on not taking you to the Delivery Cleaners. With this new (and we would say improved) partnership comes a whole new set of delivery services, involving a wider reach that is quicker, more efficient - hallelujah!

STANDARD: Delivery within 1-3 days (Monday-Friday) $4.50 per case

RURAL: Delivery within 2-4 days (Monday-Friday) $8.50 per case

SATURDAY: Delivery on a Saturday $6.50 per case

URGENT: Delivery within 3 hours (AKLD & WGTN CBD) $15.00 per case

SUPER URGENT: Delivery within 1 hour by bike (AKLD & WGTN CBD) $18.00 per case

NEXT NIGHT: Delivery between 6-8pm the next night $10.00 per case

Here at Glengarry, we don’t discriminate when it comes to our Northern and Southern Kiwi brethren, so our standard rate is a mere $4.50 a package, delivered anywhere in New Zealand. That’s right: regardless of which island you live on, it’s the same price. However, there is an exception: For our Rural Friends with the private road-sized driveways, it’s $8.50 a package delivered. The upside is that NZ Post has the broadest reach in the country, and not only can we now get it to you pretty much anywhere, we can get it to you for a price that most of the others charge for their easier deliveries.

Saturday delivery?

Yes, we can. And we will. It’s just $6.50 for a Saturday delivery, which is still significantly cheaper than many of our competitors’ Monday-Friday rates. The Saturday offer currently has to exclude rural deliveries, but hey, given that we refuse to stand still, who knows what we’ll be able to achieve in the future? To make sure we can get your order booked for Saturday delivery, do pop it through before midday on the Friday prior (Thursday for South Island deliveries).

We'll need a signature upon delivery - always!

Given that it is wine, beer and spirits that we deliver, it is important (not to mention legislated) that as responsible retailers, we don’t leave these fine but potentially tricky items unattended, where they could fall into inappropriate hands. A signature is thus required by someone over 18 upon delivery. To make that all a bit easier, we now deliver at night between 6pm and 8pm. Not around when they deliver? NZ Post will leave a calling card with all the necessary details.

Left things till the last minute?

If you are in the middle of the Auckland or Wellington CBD and forgot to order that special gift bottle, the drinks for the product launch, or have something evolving where you just have to celebrate, we do that too. $18.00 will see your parcel in your hands within the hour. For a 3-hour delivery service within the same area, it’ll cost you $15.00.

International delivery?

We have the ability to send wine to almost anywhere in the world, and via our international courier service, the delivery time dependent on the destination. We do suggest, though, that to be on the safe side, you allow 5-10 days for Australia, up to 20 days for Asia, and up to 30 days for Europe and the Americas. The service is door-to-door and the duty unpaid. That means that upon the arrival of your package within its destined country, you will be contacted to pay any relevant duty for that country, if applicable.
