With only 13,000 bottles created, this rare amphora-aged Merlot exudes a creamy nose of blueberry, cassis and violets. The palate is intense and defined with great concentration of fruit. Serve with a dish rich in protein, or cellar for many years to come.

A beguiling combination of florals, red fruits, roses, Chinese five spice, smoked meats, liquorice, and fresh cedar lead to a concentrated palate with outstanding purity of flavour and vitality thanks to a fine backbone of natural acidity. Dense, mouthcoating tannins, and complimentary cedary oak, beautifully frame the wine providing a silky texture, culminating in a long succulent finish. A complex, intensely perfumed Syrah of style and character that will only develop more interest with time.

Dean Hewitson derives his inspiration from some of Australias oldest and most treasured vineyards, many planted pre-phylloxera and more closely linked to the original vines of Europe. More aromatically refined than many Barossa offerings. Sweet fruit, slightly chalky tannins and a charming rusticity create a singular expression of character and complexity.

The aromas exhibit raspberry and liquorice, complemented by warm spices. The palate mirrors the aromas, with medium to full bodied red berry fruits that elegantly melds with the acid and tannin to produce an extremely well balanced wine.

The beauty and perfume of Cabernet Franc is complimented by the sophistication and refinement of Cabernet Sauvignon, and the colour, spice and structure of Petit Verdot. A beautiful violet fragrance precedes complex aromas of brambly blackcurrants and blackberries, intermingled with hints of dried herbs, fresh cedar, anise, sweetspices, vanilla, and toast. There is excellent concentration and purity of flavour on the palate with a vibrant core of black fruit flavour wrapped in a sheath of cedary, toasty oak. Fine-grained tannins and juicy acidity combine to produce a succulent, supple, and textural wine with the structure and capacity to develop further complexity over the next 10 years.
