El Paisano De Tares

A blend of Mencia and co-planted local red and white varieties, a return to the traditional field blends of old Bierzo vineyards. Hand harvested, foot trodden with stems, spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeast from the vineyard and winery, then aged in old oak vats. Pale ruby colour with a fragrant nose of violet, red plum, wild berries and fennel. A smooth, refreshing, easy drinking palate, best served cool at 10 to 12 degrees, in a glass, tumbler or traditional wine pitcher. Good with everything from traditional stews to refined Nikkei cuisine.
