This is a legendary beer in this hemisphere, its cloudy swirls almost a national icon in Australia, an opaque randomness due to sediment rather than anything untoward happening to the consumer’s cortex, mind. It has a distinct and distinctive malty hoppiness, and a burst of fruit aromas predating the big brewery bandwagon jumpers over there who are just learning to spell ‘citrus peel.’ Brewed since 1862, using a medieval top fermentation method involving much patience and a science degree, this is truly a great beer.
