V.O.R.S. Amontillado Coliseo (375ml)

V.O.R.S. is shorthand for Vinum Optimum Rare Signatum, aka Very Old Rare Sherry, with Valdespinos Solera for this sublime wine established around the end of the 19th century. Coliseo is extremely rare, coming from a solera that contains just five sherry butts (casks). Around 60 years old, it is the apogee of the Amontillado style. An intense minerality and salty tang emerge from the aromatic, concentrated, nutty and spicy palate. Truly exquisite, this is one of the greats.
