A surprisingly elegant and well-balanced PX hoggie, which displays dark fruits, along with rancio, soft earthy notes and plum wine. Water brings a more peppery and gamey edge with tobaccos and layers of cocoa and dried herbs. Weighty and thick in texture on arrival. A lot of sticky dark fruits, but also light meaty notes, crushed hazelnuts, camphor and delicate chocolatey notes. Clean and very rich! Water enhances the complexity wonderfully, bringing herbs, chocolate, tobacco and drier, more peppery tones. Long and lingering on peppery wood spices, treacle and freshly baked breads.
