Old Vines Tempranillo

Made by Hammeken Cellars, the Denia based producer also known for the Radio Boka range, from old vines over 30 years old grown on limestone and clay soil in Castilla, central Spain's high plateau. Black cherries, strawberries and plums on the nose, with vanilla, oak and chocolate from barrel time on the palate. Dark ruby red in colour, medium bodied with well integrated tannins, dry, smooth and succulent, bursting with dark berry and plum fruit. Hand harvested, cold macerated, fermented 12 to 18 days, then refined four months in French oak.
