68% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and then 12% red wine for colour make up the blend of this wine. Aged for 3 years before release with a dosage of 10.8gm/l. All of the fruit is sourced from Grand Cru vineyard sites in Bouzy with an average vine age of 35 years. An attractive bouquet of red fruit, cherries and sweet cassis jump out of the glass and lead you to the rich, complexity that you’d expect from Paul Bara. There’s no malolactic fermentation, the acidity very much a character of the wine, leaving a fresh long finish.
