Chile
Wine has actually been made here for centuries and finally shaking off its, largely unfair, reputation for producing buckets of rustic reds, Chile is now the world's darling. There's been a winemaking revolution here, similar to those experienced in Spain and Portugal, that has seen new sites sought, experimental plantings that have paid off astoundingly, and a breed of winemakers, like Aurelio Montes who have shown a true pioneering spirit and taken Chile to the top of the charts.
