When Chateau Ferriere is on form, its an exceptional value Margaux and this year it is. 63% Cabernet, 33% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. A lively spicy fresh style with savoury taut tannins and a solid well-structured finish. Very classic Ferriere. 95/100 | James Suckling: "Aromas of blackberries and black olives with grapey undertones. Graphite as well. Its tight and full-bodied, yet very polished and refined. Creamy texture. Just a hint of tar on the finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Tiny production. Try after 2025."
