The most prized cuvee from Anne Gros and Jean Paul Tollot, drawn from a single 1.07 hectare plot of Carignan and Grenache planted in 1909 on the clay limestone soils of Cazelles. Destemmed in the Burgundian manner and aged entirely in French oak barrels. Black fruits meet a gentle mentholated freshness, with fine leather and spice. Finesse sits alongside power, with mineral energy, a silky texture and a long, elegant finish. Anne Gros likens the site to her parcel of Richebourg. Serve at 16 to 18 degrees and decant half an hour beforehand. Built to cellar for 15 years.
