The estate's old vine flagship, named for the domaine's original title, Clos Chantemerle. Fruit comes from a 3.5 hectare plot of vines close to 100 years old across the Barbe d'Asne, Les Brusquieres, Montredon and Pignan lieux-dits, on galets, sand and clay. The berries are not destemmed and the varieties are co-fermented. Bright, brilliant red colour with violet highlights. The nose is elegant and complex at once, and the palate is highly aromatic, elegant and long, a powerful wine with real ageing potential. Aged 12 to 18 months across foudres, demi-muids and tank, this is the cuvee that carries the estate's oldest vines and its longest history.
