The second wine of Chateau Trottevieille, a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe, first made in 2002 and elaborated with the same care as the Grand Vin. Incredibly pure fruit, blackberry and redcurrant with spice and florals, full bodied with fine, well integrated tannins. Blend led by Merlot with a high proportion of Cabernet Franc, fermented around four weeks, aged 18 months in oak, up to 70% new. Good with beef, rabbit, pheasant or ripened cheese.
