The 2019 Barossa vintage was defined by adversity, frost, hail and exceptionally dry conditions dramatically reduced yields, but small berries and loose bunches gave fruit of remarkable concentration and intensity. Deep crimson with a youthful purple hue, opening with lifted blackberry, boysenberry and dark plum layered with cedarwood, liquorice and smoky oak. Rich and full bodied, plush and concentrated with an inky texture, spiced fruitcake character and long, firm tannins of impressive depth. Powerful yet refined, built to cellar comfortably for 15 to 25 years.
