Pope is Puriri Hills exceptional vintage wine that was first produced in 2005. It is only produced in outstanding years and consistently ranks as one of New Zealands top Bordeaux blend. 2020 was a spectacular vintage with near ideal conditions throughout the growing season, A warm dry spring was followed by just enough rain post veraison, and then dry hot conditions until harvest. Resulting fruit with concentrated flavours and strong colour. 57% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 17% Carmenre, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon.
