MAZURAN'S

George Mazuran arrived in New Zealand in 1926,from Croatia, and bought a large area of land west of Auckland, Henderson in 1938 where the first vintage was harvested 4 years later.The moment you arrive at Mazuran's you realise you have come to a very special place. On one side of the intimate cellar door there are well ordered shelves of port and wine, while the others filled with pictures and memorabilia sharing the lives of the Mazuran family, which has been making fortified wines in this place for generations.Tony Mazuran and father Rado ( who was voted Winemaker of the year at the San Francisco International Wine Competition ) run Mazuran's today. 2018 marks 80 years for the Mazuran's winery with new release ports and wines. Tastings at cellar door, groups welcome.

From his Croatian home land wine is a way of life. Rado came to New Zealand in the 1960s to work with George Mazuran OBE with a vision to produce high quality wines.
