Very pale, green-tinged yellow. Inviting aromas and flavors of white stone fruits, underripe pineapple, citrus peel, dried herbs and anise, plus a faint honey note. A juicy, energetic wine with bracing acidity, but not at all thin. Finishes firm and gripping, with a repeating pineapple note. The fruit goes directly to press, with no SO2 protection, and Sebasti�n Zuccardi does a cloudy fermentation, half in used oak and half in concrete. Although he rarely if ever does batonnage, there is a lot of movement of the lees in the barrels. Incidentally, this is a new style of Chardonnay for Zuccardi: originally it was a full-malo wine and as recently as 2012 it was made mostly in new oak.
