Pur Sang Magnum (1500ml)

From La Folie, a gently sloped, south to south east facing vineyard of deep clay over limestone north of Saint-Andelain, with some fruit from smaller Saint-Andelain hill parcels. Pur Sang, French for thoroughbred, is a wry nod to Didier Dagueneau's habit of ploughing some parcels with a horse. Barrel fermented and aged across a mix of 450 and 600 litre barrels and custom low toast cigare barrels, a rich, powerful, enormously textural cuvee built to age for decades. Bottled in magnum, which slows the wine's evolution and suits the extended cellaring this cuvee rewards.
