Finesse, density and a natural sense of balance define this wine. Intense colour and an expressive nose of violet and red fruits such as cherry and raspberry show real complexity, fleshy and concentrated in the mouth, with fine, silky, elegant tannins. Les Epenots is one of the domaine's flagship Pommard climats, and it shows in the ageing regime, 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 40 to 50% new, the highest proportion of new wood in the Pommard range, built to match the wine's natural density and ageing potential.
