The oldest family wine estate in Saint-Emilion, in the same family since 1507 and certified organic since 2012. A sophisticated, unwavering wine built around a balance of red and black fruit with a signature violet finish, pleasant red fruit aromas, very subtle tannins and a sustained ruby colour, built to age with increasing finesse. Blend of 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc from 16 hectares of vines averaging 60 years old, aged 12 months in French oak. Rated 90 points by James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast, and awarded a star in the Guide Hachette des Vins.
