Steingarten was the first Riesling of its kind in Australia, setting the benchmark for cool-climate Riesling for the past 50 years. From the creation of the rocky vineyard that imitated the mountainous winemaking regions of Germany, to the innovative style, this is one of Australias most awarded Rieslings.Aromas of lemongrass and green apple, lime and fresh white peach. Dry on the palate with elevated acidity and flavours that mirror the bouquet. Theres a core of minerality and white blossoms then citrus and tree fruit, a whisper of white pepper and long refreshing finish. A wine that will age for at least another 10-15 years. The lower alcohol of 11.5% would indicate some residual sweetness and while there is a touch the wines pH is such that it feels dry.
