Every year the world gathers on the third Saturday of May in praise of what arguably is its most precise and complex alcoholic beverage. This year, the 18th of May is World Whisky Day, a global celebration of the water of life or Uisge Beatha, in the old tongue. With events taking place all around the globe in celebration of whisky. We count ourselves extremely fortunate to be able to host Auckland’s largest whisky tasting this year in real life, what a treat! On that reason alone, you may have been persuaded by now… However, if you need a little more nudging, let us remind you that on this day you will have access to some pretty outstanding whiskies from all around the world, including some hot wee releases; In fact, over 100 malts will be available to taste, from: Scotland, Ireland, America, Japan, and New Zealand.
These kinds of opportunities are rare, you must know! We’ve got a fixed limit on how many folks can come through, so you’d be wise a grab a ticket or two while it’s available. For those who prefer to skip the crowd by having an earlier admission time and gain entry to our Amber Room, where you’ll have access to a selection of special drams, the VIP ticket is what you’d want to go for.
In mind of keeping everyone well fed and hydrated, each ticket includes a complementary meal item from our Food Truck and water stations will be dotted around the event. The Glengarry Whisky Tour is a celebration of all things whisky with good like-minded company, any intoxication or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. So, bring your great smiles and plan out your day to allow that you get home safely.

Jak Jakicevich, owner of Glengarry Wines, has been heavily involved in Aotearoa's whisky industry for the past few decades; hosting Glengarry's infamous monthly Malt Club. This great idea of coming together to taste a wealth of whiskies from around the world ON the International World Whisky Day came about in early days 2017, whilst sharing a few drams with his daughter, Aroha Jakicevich. Aroha is now carrying the whisky torch representing Glengarry as a judge at local competitions, The Drammy's and NZ Spirit Awards. The dramful duo alongside the GG crew are proud to present to you...
