TERRAVIN
Terra (Latin for Land) Vin (French for Wine) is the hard work and toil of Mike and Jo Eaton. Planted in 1998, on a hillside in the Omaka Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand, TerraVin is "one of a kind" in the Marlborough area. TerraVin is a wine reflecting this unique site and Mikes desire to grow an age-worthy, complex Pinot Noir. With its curving stone wall and grapes rising to the skyline, TerraVin is a stunning vineyard. Landscaped entirely by Mike and Jo, together they have crafted TerraVin. TerraVin is a unique vineyard ranging in slope from 12-17 degrees and is north facing, making the most of our southern hemisphere sunlight. Its elevation from 105m to 160m above sea level gives a large diurnal range of temperature - cool in the evenings and hot during the days - thus capturing all the flavours that are TerraVin.

He returned to New Zealand in 1996, and from 1997 to 2002 was winemaker for Neudorf Vineyards.
