A world search for the ideal area with perfect conditions for viticulture brought Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling, graduates of the German Viticulture and Oenology University in Geisenheim, to the Wairarapa. Schubert’s vineyards are closely planted and the unique climate produces low yields and internationally award winning wines with intense and complex character. In 2015, Lisa Perrotti Brown of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate rated Schubert in the Top 3 Wineries in New Zealand.
