Liberty Brewing is easily one of New Zealand’s brightest in the brewing scene, earning themselves a well-deserved cult following thanks to fantastic award-winning brews such as the zesty C!tra, the dark and brooding Prohibition porter and the frightfully hopped Yakima Monster. Transitioning from hobbyist home brewers to commercial brewing, founders Joe and Christina Wood eventually found themselves moving back home to set up tap in the humble satellite suburb of Helensville, Auckland.

The brewing sweethearts would see themselves and their small crew of seven – consisting mainly of close friends and family – incredibly busy crafting beer for thirsty mouths throughout New Zealand and Australia. Along the way they have picked up a multitude of awards. Slogging it out day after day for a solid ten years, the Woods have displayed a ferocious integrity that is amply represented in their incredible brews.
