INNISKILLIN

Inniskillin carries the story of two wineries in two regions thousands of miles apart. According to Niagara legend, it is two unlikely odd couples that became the founders of Canadian Wine – Karl Kaiser, an Austrian-born chemist and Donald Ziraldo, a young Italian-Canadian agriculture graduate. While they were tasting Ontario Wines in the early 1970s, they realised that there was a gap in the fine wine market.

Inniskillin established an estate in the Southern border of the Okanagan Valley Wine Region in British Columbia in 1994. Kaiser and Ziraldo both had desire to create wines that would reflect their unique terrior.
