GRANTS

Founder William Grant was born 1839, in the small town of Dufftown in the Scottish Highlands. William Grant always liked being different. Even though he started work as an apprentice shoemaker, a good education enabled him to change careers and become a bookkeeper at a local distillery. Here, William's passion was ignited.

It was not until 1886 that William and his ten-strong family realised a lifelong dream and built their own distillery.

Today, William Grant & Sons Ltd is still an award-winning independent, family-owned company.
