Ah, Black Tower; it came in those ultra-classy ceramic bottles sporting heraldic imagery that simply reeked of finesse. Well, that’s what we thought in our twenties anyway. Germany’s biggest-selling wine export, Black Tower has these days reinvented and upgraded itself, converting to glass and putting out a range of single varietal styles, among them Rivaner, Riesling, Rosé and Pinots Grigio and Noir.
