BORDEAUX 'EN PRIMEUR' INTRODUCTION
What is Bordeaux 'En Primeur'? Essentially it's a type of 'wine futures'. This is the traditional Bordeaux process of buying the wine while it is still in barrel, before it is bottled and released onto the market - with delivery around 2 years later. This allows you to gain access to many of the rare wines that are not available off the shelf, as well as a price significantly below the future retail. Glengarry are the leading specialists in this area, having purchased and imported en primeur since the famed 1982 vintage. This year's campaign is starting very soon (selling the 2020 vintage). Book a spot and come along after work for this informal introduction evening that will get you prepared. We'll have our fine wine specialists there to talk you through the process (while we enjoy some Bordeaux of course!)
