Don’t miss this fabulous tasting of some of the greatest Cabernet and Merlot estates in Bordeaux. These are the famous Chateaux that sit just below the legendary 1st Growths in quality, many from areas that were not included in the 1855 Classification. We will be tasting 8 wines from across all the major appellations, giving us a great look at the overall quality of the vintage. The wines will be: Blanc de Lynch Bages, Belair Monange - Saint Emilion, La Fleur Petrus - Pomerol, Smith Haut Lafitte - Pessac Leongan, Rauzan Segla - Margaux, Pichon Lalande - Pauillac, Calon Segur - St Estephe, Leoville Barton - St Julian.

Your ticket includes 50ml sample bottles of all wines. To ensure these samples reach you in safe and optimum condition, we will use the Coravin system to check for cork taint, the tasting bottles then filled under a veil of argon gas to minimise contact with air and prevent oxidation. The team will be using applicable protective practises when preparing the samples. They will then be dispatched to you before the tasting on Thursday evening. These are designed for short term storage, not for keeping in your cellar. Details will be included explaining how to set up your computer/phone/iPad to join the tasting, conducted via Zoom.
