Join our Fine Wine Consultan Regan McCaffery for this virtual Fine Wine tasting with some of the world’s greatest Burgundies. Grand Crus from Domaine Francois Lamarche in Vosne Romanee, the greatest Pinot Noir village on Earth. Your ticket price includes 8x mini 50ml tasting bottles for one person and a tasting mat, so you can join in and enjoy the wines from the comfort of your own home. You’ll be able to enjoy the full tasting experience as you interact with the presenter and others in the tasting, just like being in one of our wine rooms.

To ensure these samples reach you in safe and optimum condition, we will be using the Coravin system to check for cork taint. The tasting bottles will then be filled with the Le Verre de Vin system and argon gas, to minimise contact with air and prevent oxidation. The team will be using applicable protective practises when preparing the samples. They will then be dispatched to you that afternoon, so you receive them for the tasting on Thursday evening. These sample bottles are designed for short term storage to get them to you for the tasting, not for keeping in your cellar. Details will be included explaining how to set up your computer / phone / iPad to join the tasting which will be conducted via Zoom.

The Lamarche family history in the village of Vosne-Romanee dates to around 1710 and today is run by the sixth generation. Lamarche is famous for having sole ownership of (Monopole) one of the most highest prized (and highest priced) vineyards in Burgundy, La Grand Rue. This is nestled in the most prime real estate in the world of wine, a tiny 1.65ha strip directly between La Romanee Conti, La Romanee and La Tache. Tonight we shall finish with the very rare chance to taste this almost $1000 Pinot Noir. Leading up to that we have a stunning line-up of their wines, including a five vintage vertical of the famed Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot. Don’t miss this incredible tasting.
