Situated Southeast of Auckland's city centre is the mainly residential suburb of Ellerslie. It is here, on Main Highway, that Glengarry Ellerslie's doors opened in 2011. Perhaps best known for its racetrack of the same name and the original site for the Ellerslie Flower Show, the township is small with a strong sense of community and its location means it is within easy reach of the Southern Motorway, the redeveloped Lunn Ave and Greenlane.
That's right, every week, in every Glengarry store, there's a few open bottles for tasting on a Friday evening and our friendly team are always happy to answer any questions you may have about a particular drop. We'll have a few bottles open each Friday to tempt your palate, so feel free to drop on in!
Wine lover Kirsten Searle is the co-owner, hardworking mother of 3 children and the drive behind the historic, Gisborne-based Matawhero Wine brand. Established in 1968 by Bill Irwin, Matawhero Wines defied convention and made wines of boutique standing and international acclaim and in doing so, changed the face of New Zealand winemaking forever. Please join us for a tasting with the next generation of Matawhero wines, as Kirsten reflects on the brand's history and shares some of the best wines from the Gisborne region.
Craft Beer Club hosted by Joe from Liberty. The first local brewery in our portfolio was New Zealand's most exciting nano-brewery and arguably New Zealand's best exponent of the art of making overtly hoppy beers. Demand for Liberty's beers - and the Imperial IPA called C!TRA in particular - far exceeds supply.
Jane Ferrari is not simply a Yalumba employee, she's a company crusader. Her passion is as infectious as it is heartfelt. Spend an hour or so with Jane - in a London boardroom, at a New York tasting, at the Angaston winery, it doesn't matter where - and you'll find out more about the heritage and culture of Yalumba and the wider Barossa than most locals learn in a lifetime.
Join us from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 August as we celebrate our 2nd birthday with tastings, treats, giveaways, wine and riedel deals! No need to book - just make a note in your calendar and pop in.
