Do I need to register to purchase from this site?
Yes, to purchase you do need to be registered and logged in. Once you've registered online, you will also be sent a Glengarry Card in the mail and become a Glengarry card member. What's this all about?
Your copy of the famous Glengarry Wineletter packed with information and monthly specials. We deliver nationwide, freight is $2.50 per case and if you are a regular online customer, freight is free. Go in the draw to win Riedel glassware every week, there's $20,000 of Riedel to be won each year. You'll receive 5-10% off the retail prices of all products in store every time you shop. More than 10% off retail for selected wines. Of course if the wine's on special we'll ensure you get the best price possible (whether that's the special or your price). Personalised email offers.

What pricing does Glengarry show online?
Our online prices are for the supply of items in New Zealand and are shown in New Zealand dollars inclusive of GST. The pricing shown on the website before you log in, represents our Glengarry Card pricing. Of course prices do change from time to time and we reserve the right to do so.

How do I buy online?
That's the easy bit! Simply register as a new user if you haven't already and login. You find items to buy in a number of ways such as using the menus on the left and the quick and easy search feature at the top centre of the screen, browse through the tabs. You'll find it quick, easy and intuitive. As you shop and add items to your cart they'll appear on the top right of the screen.

When you are ready to finalise your purchase click on the red shopping basket, top right of your screen.  

Next click on the "Proceed to Delivery" button for the next screen to confirm your delivery address and contact phone number, and enter your credit card details (each time, unless you use the Quick check out). Lastly click on the "Submit Order" button at the bottom of the purchase screen.

We confirm to you by email that your order is received and an invoice comes with your order.

How do I pay for an online order?
We accept payment by major credit cards. You'll need to provide the details of your credit card each time you buy online with us, unless you use Quick check out, this process does store your credit card securely.

When and how does Glengarry deliver?
Our delivery fleet operates Monday (9am) through to Saturday (5pm). For home deliveries or non-Business Charge Accounts we aim to achieve a next day delivery in metro areas using our own fleet. When we use a courier service, the delivery to Business addresses is the next day after pick up, to residential delivery is 2 days after pick up. If you are unsure or would like the delivery earlier, call us on 0800Glengarry and we'll do our best. If you're a Business Charge Account and we receive your order prior to 9am, we'll get it to you before 3pm that day for Auckland & Wellington metro, if we receive your order between 9am and midday we'll get it to you that afternoon for Auckland & Wellington metro. Usually next day for North Island and three days after collection for South Island. Rural deliveries will take 3 - 5 days.

If you buy online between midday and 9am we deem this to be an order placed at 9am the next day (orders placed Saturdays and Sundays becomes a Monday order due to delivery access). If it's urgent please contact us on 0800 733 505 and we'll give it our best efforts, but there may be some additional freight fees.

We do sometimes use the services of third party couriers, both require you, or someone over 18 years of age, to be present to accept the order.

How much will the freight cost me?
We deliver nationwide, freight is $2.50 per case and if you are a regular online customer, freight is free. Urgent courier (Auckland/Wellington Metro within 3 hours) delivery is available, we'll pass on the cost of the courier, the minimum charge for this service is $10. If you need to get your order urgently, tick the box on the checkout page for us to contact you when placing your order and we will be in touch to advise you of timing and make the necessary arrangements. Build a gift is a customised service that has a $6 per gift handling and freight fee. Clearance wine listed on the Bin Ends tab come from a separate location and attracts a $2.50 per case freight charge for all customers.

Is the product protected in transit?
We use secure packaging for all deliveries and the products are insured to your door.

Can Glengarry deliver to someone on my behalf?
Glengarry can deliver on your behalf, however the same delivery and payment rules apply. Just tick the box on the checkout page for us to contact you when placing your order and we will be in touch to make the necessary arrangements.

I won't be at home, but my son will, he's 17 years old, can you deliver?
Sorry, Glengarry cannot, will not, deliver our products to anyone under 18 years of age. In fact if you look under 25 years of age you'll have to provide I.D. to us upon delivery. Remember, if you use our site to purchase alcohol and are under 18 years of age then you're breaking the law.

What if no one is around when Glengarry delivers?
If the delivery point is unattended the product will be left is a secure spot for you. Sorry, we don't deliver on Sunday (except for large orders by prior arrangement) but you can tick the box on the checkout page for us to contact you when placing your order and arrange to pickup your order from one of our retail stores.

Okay, so now I've bought it, how do I return it?
If you're unfortunate enough to receive a faulty or damaged product we'll replace it, of course. Don't destroy it, we'll need the products returned to us. If this does occur, please contact our call centre on 0800 733 505 and they'll work through the process for getting the products back to us.

Who can use this web site?
www.glengarry.co.nz is able to be browsed on the Internet without restriction, however, you must be registered, logged in, and comply with our terms of sale in order to purchase items online. Glengarry has complete discretion over who it accepts as an online registered customer and reserves the right to cancel the online registration of any customer at its absolute discretion.

Remember, if you use our website to purchase alcohol and are under 18 years of age then you're breaking the law.

How secure is this web site, is it safe for me to buy online?
We have configured our computer servers and written our computer software to be secure. We use an internationally recognised 'Secure Socket Layer' (SSL) encryption protocol to encrypt all personal data that you type into our site, before it travels across the Internet to us. On these screens you should see the identification symbol that your browser uses to indicate it has a secure connection, such as the "golden padlock" symbol at the bottom of your browser. Once we receive your order data it is stored on a secure server behind Glengarry's firewalls while your order is processed.

Our website is very secure, we hold credit cards for Quick check out, these are held securely with protection around them against hackers and thieves.


Is my privacy protected if I use this website?
We respect your privacy and will protect it. We only disclose information to third parties where necessary e.g. your address to a third party courier when we are needing that courier to make a delivery to you.

You can review and change your personal details, unsubscribe from our promotional offers and/or cancel your registration to our online site at anytime.

We always ensure that we comply, for your peace of mind and our protection, with the Privacy and Consumers Guarantee Acts.
