This Pinot drinks light on its feet: bright red cherry, a lift of dark florals, and a polish of oak that's folded in gently rather than shouted about. It comes from three small ferments off Mount Pisa's schist and quartz slopes, part whole bunch, matured in French oak with malolactic finishing in barrel. Just 764 bottles made. Delicious now, and only going to get better with a year or two in the cellar 13.5% ABV. Named for the octahedron air, in the old elemental sense.
