Veuve Clicquot’s latest vintage, 2008 is the first vintage at Veuve Clicquot to be made by cellar master Dominique Demarville, who arrived at the house in 2006 from Champagne Mumm. It is also the first vintage since the 1960s to use wooden fermentation and ageing vessels for the wines and is the first vintage to feature the disgorgement date on the label. Veuve Clicquot’s next vintage release will not be until the 2012 vintage followed by the 2015 vintage, so they will only have produced a vintage three times in the last 10 years. 91/100 | Wine Advocate: "The pink-orange colored 2008 Vintage Brut Rosé (disgorged March 2015) offers a very delicate, clear and elegant bouquet with juniper flavors. Clear, elegant and fresh on the palate, this is a round and well-structured, yet still very young Rosé with fine tannins and a nice grip in the finish. This is a refreshing palate cleanser that needs food or another 10-20 years to shine. Try it with pata negra or traditional Japanese dishes. "
