There is nothing like a glass of Vintage Champagne to get in the festive mood and Wednesday evenings tasting was indeed a treat. There were two flights of four which included a flight of Blanc de Blanc. Each wine reflected to some extent the vintage, with the 2008 and the 2012 wines were pure class showing balance and finesse. The 2009 J Lassalle Blanc de Blanc and the Pol Roger Vintage were generous and open and although they may not be the wines to cellar long term they were lovely right now!
