At Schloss Vollrads the focus is a singular one, centred wholly on Riesling in all its glorious forms. From bone dry to deliciously sweet to, when the vintage is good enough, legendary Eiswein and Trockenbeerenauslese, Schloss Vollrads are Rheingau Riesling masters.
That mastery and single minded focus is no recent development, to say the very least. Viticulture has been practiced at the location for over 800 years now, making theirs one of the oldest winemaking estates in the world.
The Schloss Vollrads wines display quintessential Riesling purity, with clean acidity and often marrying a relatively low ABV to abundant notes of citrus and spice. The estate has also been exercising organic practices since 2019, with the wines certified as such from the 2022 vintage onwards.
