A small craft brewery with a sense of adventure and a passion for making stylish beers with substance. Located in Riwaka, in the idyllic Top of the South, they are surrounded by hop growers and orchards, and a stone’s throw from beaches, national parks and lots of great recreation destinations.
They opened in 2013 so are relatively youthful, but are seriously dedicated to the art and craft of brewing. They use mostly New Zealand hop varieties, malts come from Gladfield maltings in Canterbury, and think their beers capture the spirit and lifestyle of this special region.
Some of you may remember Simon Nicholas who used to work with the brewery before moving to brew for Hallertau and then eventually made the move to Riwaka. Simon and his wife Nicki are behind Hop Federation and are doing extremely well. We have decided to range two of the core beers as well as one seasonal one.
