Dauvissat was established by Robert Dauvissat in the 1920s, but the family has been cultivating vines in Chablis since the 17th Century. Robert’s son, René, cemented their reputation as arguably the finest domaine in Chablis. Rivalled only, perhaps, by Domaine Raveneau, their wines show an impeccable balance of minerality and richness, with an exceptional capacity for aging.
Vincent has been working with his father since 1976, and has run the domaine for the last six years. Their vineyards are split between two Grand Cru and three Premier Cru sites over 11 hectares. Yields are very restricted and meticulous care is taken with vinification and maturation. Pure and intense Chablis of the very highest level, there is only a very small quantity of these wines available.
