Auckland's Herne Bay along with the surrounding neighbourhoods of St Marys Bay, Ponsonby and Freeman's Bay have a strong sense of community and our Dida's Wine & Tapas Lounge and Glengarry Jervois Road reflects this. Housed in the original building where grandfather Jakicevich started his grocery store over 60 years ago, we are proud to say we're still here and part of the community. It's still a firm favourite with not only the Herne Bay locals, but with many residents from the surrounding areas as well as those heading home from the CBD towards the North Shore.
The Team
SHARON - is our Wine Lounge Manager, Sharon's been with us for over a year, prior to that she has worked in a number of great bars and restaurants. A big Riesling lover, she enjoys dining out with a vino in the sun.
NICHOLAS - is our Assistant Manager, one of the longest standing members of the team, Nick has been with Dida's Jervois Road for four years, originally from South Africa, he likes cricket (when S.A win), travel & Polish vodka.
CHRISTIAN - is another long standing member of the team, from Berlin, Germany. He's a familar face around Ponsonby and enjoys Australian Shiraz.
