The Glengarry Craft beer club (s) are back!

Glengarry is somewhat synonymous with wine knowledge and rightly so. Our spirit prowess overflows. Bubbling underneath a crafty group of passionate folk who adore the world of Craft beer. With restrictions lifted, and social gathering’s encouraged, the team are back at it and ready to host you on site with a wide range of Craft beer sessions kicking off in September.

Craft beer clubs are a way for beer enthusiasts to enjoy a curated experience, discover new favorites, and keep up with the ever-evolving world of craft brewing.

Glengarry Grey Lynn located on Williamson Avenue in Grey Lynn kicks off September with the return of their Saturday sessions. A guest brewer joins the team every second Saturday from September through to December (at this stage) to pour from the Growler station their latest brews. Think music, food truck and a great place to pop into on a Saturday afternoon. No doubt you’ll also find a wine or two open for tasting upstairs. These Saturday sessions hosted by none other than our craft beer loving Grey Lynn Manager Phill Craig. Who can forget the Instagram beer tastings with Phill through lockdown. First up in September for Grey Lynn is Bootleg Brewery an independent brewery from Matangi, Hamilton. Come along on Saturday 23rd September between 2pm and 5pm, we can’t wait to see you.

Glengarry Victoria Park, the perfect destination site is home to our tasting room and kicks off September with the team from McLeods on Thursday 21st September. Jared Henderson is our beer mad Victoria Park team member who will be heading up this one. Jared’s the inwards goods guru at Vic Park as well as loving public speaking with a glass of craft beer (or whisky in hand)

Down in Wellington, we have a new manager at Glengarry Kelburn. Callum Wolrich is no stranger to Glengarry having worked with the team at Glengarry Khyber pass for many years. Khyber Pass is the home of another of our Growler stations and it’s no surprise then that you can pop on in for Friday night tastings from the Growler station. Every Friday through September – December from 4pm – 6pm Callum will be hosting an instore tasting from his Growler stations at Glengarry Kelburn.

Back up in Auckland, another new manager, Kit Clarke is heading up our Kingsland store. Kit last worked with us ten years ago before spending time working in spirit importation and most recently in insurance. I’m sure anyone who worked in insurance through the cyclone and Auckland floods this year will understand Kit’s move back to retail. We are delighted Kit’s joined us and that like Callum in Wellington will be running instore tastings from his Growler station at Kingsland every Friday from 4pm – 6pm.

Finally, over at Khyber Pass, Patrick Wilson is our Assistant Manager there. Patrick and Jared (Vic Park) worked together at Glengarry Parnell and also flat together, no surprise then that the craft loving bug has Patrick hooked too and you’ll find Patrick leading the Growler station over at Khyber Pass. Instore tastings from the Growler station there every Friday night from 4pm – 6pm.

And for those who can’t make it instore, we have you sorted too. With our Craft Beer subscription as part of our case club. A monthly subscription service that’ll see a diverse range of exciting beer delivered to your door every month.
