APPLE TREE
Appletree is a boutique cider producer established by winemaker Sam Cooney, who was introduced to the pleasures of this ambrosial beverage while working for Alsace’s famous Hugel winery. Back in New Zealand, Sam believed there was a gap in the market for a small-batch, handcrafted, French inspired cider. His agenda has been to produce fruity, refreshing, lighter-styled ciders that can work equally well as an accompaniment to food or carrying the day on their own.
