The Norbertine abbey of “Notre Dame de Leffe” is near the meeting of the Meuse and Leffe rivers in the town of Dinant. The Leffe Valley is well known for its spices and the Norbertine monks still make tea there.
Originating in 1240, Leffe is an authentic Belgian Abbey Beer, brewed according to the traditional recipes of the monks of the Abbey of Leffe. Since 1950, the beer has been brewed under licence by in-Bev.
