As the latest addition to the Robertson Family wine portfolio, Kidnapper Cliffs takes its
name from the prominent Cape Kidnappers landmark at the southern tip of New
Zealand’s Hawkes Bay. The winery adheres to time honoured aesthetic principles, with
a fundamental belief that the best wines are grown, not made.
Because all Robertson
Family wines share congruent ideals, there is a high degree of cooperative interaction
between Te Awa, Kidnapper Cliffs and Dry River. Production is therefore very much a
team effort, with Te Awa's Ant MacKenzie and Dry River's Dr. Neil McCallum
collaborating on the winemaking duties and viticultural oversight.
