HUNTRESS

Huntress is the expression of winemaker Jannine Rickards, based in Wairarapa, Aotearoa New Zealand. Guided by intuition and respect for the land, Huntress is about crafting wines that speak of time and place while celebrating the seasons of life. The name Huntress reflects Jannine’s deep connection to nature – gathering food through hunting, foraging and fishing, making wine, and working with what the land provides. Each wine is small-batch, wild-fermented, and made with minimal intervention, allowing purity and vitality to shine through. While Wairarapa is home, Huntress also draws fruit from select organically farmed vineyards across New Zealand, working with growers who share the same values of care and integrity. From fragrant & textured skin-fermented whites to vibrant & complex Pinot Noir, Huntress wines are energetic, soulful, and made to be shared around the table with good food and good company.
