CHATEAU BELLEVUE MONDOTTE
Tiny! With a mere 2.5-hectare plot to play in, the annual production is miniscule. In 2001, Chateau Bellevue Mondotte was purchased by Gérard Perse, owner of the highly-rated Château Pavie, as well as Châteaux Pavie-Decesse and Monbousquet.
Located on the Saint-Émilion limestone plateau within a stone's throw of Perse's other properties, the Bellevue Mondotte vines average around 45 years in age, with 90% planted in Merlot and the remainder evenly split between Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon.
This is a trophy wine, produced with stunning levels of concentration, divinely opulent and velvety in the mouth. It doesn't come cheap, but rest assured, the quality is there and it is worth the outlay for its stellar interpretation of Saint-Émilion’s magic.
