Family owned and operated winery making certified organic, Gimblett Gravels Wines in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. We are well known for our Syrah (with the oldest vines in New Zealand) and also make Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Gewurztraminer, Zinfandel and Merlot/ Cabernet Sauvignon blends.

About the Winemaker

DERMOT MCCOLLUM

Dermot is originally from Ireland and has a background in chemical engineering. He gained a Certificate in Viticulture and Winemaking at Tairāwhiti Polytechnic in Gisborne, after undertaking WSET wines and spirits courses in London. Prior to taking over at Stonecroft, Dermot completed vintages in Burgundy and Hawke’s Bay and also worked at vineyards on Waiheke Island.
