TORRES

Torres was founded in 1870 by Jaime and Miguel Torres. Today, the winery remains family owned. The winery is a bit of a darling in wine media, it was named 'The Most Important Winery in Spain' by Wine Spectator magazine in 1999 and named in the magazine's Hall of Fame in their 25th anniversary issue. It has also been Wine Enthusiast magazine's Best European Winery in 2006, and Miguel A. Torres was named the most influential Spanish winegrower in the July 2007 issue of Decanter magazine.

Today, Torres has over 1300 hectares of vineyard and its wine is available in over 140 countries. Torres continues to be committed to environmentally-friendly winemaking. They purify waste water and invest in using renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wine parks. Torres' motto is "The more we care for the earth, the better our wines".
