SOHO

Soho was founded in 2009 by Rachel Carter. In just a handful of years, Soho has earned various accolades as well as a reputation for creating top quality regionally-distinctive wines. Soho aims to take ‘both quality and fun in equal measures’.

Whilst using relatively untraditional winemaking approaches, Soho uses family-owned vineyards from three of New Zealand’s best wine regions. Soho then pairs award-winning winemakers with each of the vineyards. On Waiheke Island they have James Rowan, in Marlborough they have Dave Clouson, and in Central Otago they have Grant Taylor.

Marlborough born & bred Dave Clouston (Two Rivers Marlborough) produces wines that are true expressions of Marlborough's unique terroir. Dave's wines are clean, pure & consistent, with a strong focus on balance, length & texture. High quality & hand crafted wines have earned Dave a staggering 26 gold medals for SOHO since the 2010 vintage. In 2011 Dave was an Australasian Young Winemaker of the Year finalist. His commitment & energy exude throughout his wine & his lifestyle...carving up waves, snow & even the odd dance floor.
